COVID-19 Park Rules

A SB County list of businesses and services open as of May 15, 2020.

Activities Allowed with Limits

Allowable activities below mandates the practice social distancing of at least a minimum of 6 feet from other people, except those who reside in the same household, and wearing a face covering while in our parks.

  • Short-term camping (one site per household). No gatherings or parties. NOTE: Glen Helen camp sites remain closed.
  • Hiking
  • Fishing (last trout stocking date was April 2nd. The catfish stocking dates has not been finalized yet. We will keep you posted.)
  • Group leisure activities are limited to those where the participants are from the same household.
  • Limited restrooms are open at each park

Activities Not Allowed

In compliance with California mandates, the following activities are not permitted:

  • Group Camping
  • Contact sports
  • Parties
  • Barbecues

The following amenities remain closed

  • Glen Helen Camp Sites
  • Swim Facilities
  • Splash Parks
  • Pavilions, Shelters & Picnic Areas
  • Playgrounds
  • Meeting Rooms/Nature Centers
  • Athletic Fields
  • Dump Station (at Glen Helen only)

Park Concessionaire Information

At this time, not all park concessionaires plan to re-open. If and when stores and services at our parks plan to re-open, they will implement their own COVID-19 CDC guidelines to the County for approval. Please refer to a specific park below to find out what is re-opening.

  • The Santa Ana River Trail will be closed between Mt. Vernon Avenue and E Street, February 17 – July 10, 2020 for repair to the flood walls and levee. We apologize for any inconvenience.
