SUMMARY:Summer Kick-Off at Yucaipa
DESCRIPTION:Regional Parks\, Libraries and Museums invites all ages to our family-friendly Summer Kick-Off event at Yucaipa Regional Park. The day will be filled with a live animal presentation by Wildlife Adventure Time\, arts & crafts\, group games\, giant bubbles and more. \nThe Library Adventure Bus will be on-hand with books\, games\, giveaways and more. Food vendors will be onsite for hungry appetites or bring your own picnic lunch\, blankets and chairs. Make a day out of it and stay for our Movie in the Park\, featuring Under the Boardwalk. The movie begins at dusk (around 8 p.m.). Free popcorn is available\, while supplies last. \nThe swim complex will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is on a first come\, first served basis. We advise to arrive early for the swim complex as a line begins to form as early as 7:30 a.m. when the park opens. The lakes will be stocked the Thursday prior\, June 20 with catfish. We will have something available for everyone in the family to enjoy. Leashed pets are also welcome. \nFor more information on Regional Parks\, visit parks.sbcounty.gov. SUMMARY:Glen Helen Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony & Community Event
DESCRIPTION:Regional Parks is excited to announce we will be having a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Glen Helen Regional Park on Friday\, May 24\, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and we want to invite you to join us and our County Board of Supervisors in recognition of the completion of several new park projects\, such as our new waterslides\, rodeo-themed splashpad\, new restrooms\, island bridge\, picnic shelters and boat dock. Free park admission begins at 3 p.m. Stick around for family fun night with games\, activities\, food trucks\, music and the movie\, Migration.  Bring your own chairs and/or snacks. Free popcorn\, while supplies last. *Food truck prices apply. Admission into Glen Helen is free after 3 p.m. \nNIGHT FISHING: For this event only\, the lakes will be open until 9 p.m. when the park closes. Our first catfish stocking is Thursday\, May 23. Bring the family and fish or enjoy our other park activities.
