SUMMARY:Running Through the Pines 5k & 10K at Lake Gregory
DESCRIPTION:This will be the 42nd Run Through the Pines. It will be sponsored by the Lake Gregory Company and you guessed it\, the Rim of the World Recreation and Park District. Save the date and please follow us on our Run Through The Pines Facebook and Instagram pages. The Run Through the Pines is a San Bernardino Rim Mountain Community Event and is one of the longest “running” runs in Southern California (the first one was in 1979). It features a 10K and 5K run (or walk) around Lake Gregory and is brought on by community support from sponsor\, vendors\, and volunteers from all over the mountain. \nRunners and walkers can enjoy a semi-paved roadway around Lake Gregory which passes scenic mountain and lake views. The run is at a 4\,720 feet elevation\, which makes it a perfect little challenge for mountain locals and especially those folks down the hill. Race day staging is at The Lake Gregory Company. DESCRIPTION:The catfish derby is a skilled event that runs August 1\, 2023 thru August 31\, 2023 at Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park\, Glen Helen Regional Park and Mojave Narrows Regional Park. The event is a skilled competition open to the general public and anglers of all ages. Derby entry is $5 and does not include the park entrance and park fishing fees. Gates open at 7:30 a.m. and the derby hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. State and County fishing regulations apply (except second pole stamp).
