SUMMARY:World Cup Watch Party at Kessler Park
DESCRIPTION:San Bernardino County Special Districts and Regional Parks departments are excited to bring two special World Cup official FIFA-sanctioned viewing events\, starting with the quarterfinal matches at Kessler Park on Saturday\, July 11\, from 1 to 9 p.m. and the championship match at Prado Regional Park on Sunday\, July 19\, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. \nSpectators can expect a spectacular viewing experience of the quarterfinal and championship matches on a 17-foot x 10-foot Mega LED screen with surround sound. Each park offers large viewing areas and plenty of space for fans to cheer on their favorite teams\, players and goals scored. \nThe parties will also include food vendors and fun zone areas with inflatables\, family-friendly activities and more. All ages are welcome. Leashed pets are welcome too! \nThe San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors recently approved the FIFA World Cup Watch Parties events at both parks as a way to provide a low-cost\, family-friendly opportunity for residents and communities to connect and engage together while enjoying outdoor recreational and educational activities that align with the Countywide Vision. \nDirector of Regional Parks Beahta Davis says hosting a World Cup Watch Party at Prado Regional Park is an excellent way to bring the community together and give visitors an opportunity to experience outdoor recreation while enjoying something they love to do. \n“Regional Parks is very excited to bring such a global event to Prado where families can not only come and watch the championship match near the lake but also come out and kick a soccer ball around\, ride a bike\, fish or explore the park\,” said Davis. \nKessler Park Quarterfinals Watch Party\nSaturday\, June 11\, from 1-9 p.m.\n18401 Jurupa Ave.\, Bloomington\nMatch Times: 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.\nFree Admission \nPrado Regional Park Championship Watch Party\nSunday\, July 19\, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.\n16700 S. DESCRIPTION:This Easter\, Regional Parks is excited to host a new activity giving the entire family an opportunity to participate together in a scavenger hunt following clever clues and solving playful riddles at stations located throughout the park. The scavenger hunt activity replaces the traditional Easter egg hunts and baskets or bags are no longer needed. \nThe afternoon scavenger hunt time is 1 p.m. on Sunday\, April 5\, at all the participating parks below: \n\nCucamonga-Guasti: 800 N. Archibald Ave.\, Ontario\nGlen Helen: 2555 Glen Helen Pkwy.\, San Bernardino\nMojave Narrows: 18000 Yates Road\, Victorville\nPrado: 16700 S. Euclid Ave.\, Chino\nYucaipa: 33900 Oak Glen Road\, Yucaipa\n\nThe duration depends on each participant and how fast the clues are found to crack the Bunny Code word. \n CRACK THE BUNNY CODE \nTo get started\, participants will receive one clue card with the first riddle that will lead them to the first location. Each location will have a sign with a QR code that once scanned\, will reveal another clue and location. Each QR code also reveals a letter. At the end of the hunt\, all the letters will reveal the Bunny’s secret code word. The first 140 participants to Crack the Bunny Code for each time slot at each park will receive a goodie prize. Prizes are limited on a first come\, first-served basis. \nA Smart phone with a QR code scanning feature is needed. If a participant does not have access to a Smart phone to scan a QR code\, paper copies of the clues are available at the gatehouse upon request. There are 11 stations total and the code word contains 11 letters. \nThe morning and afternoon hunts will have different letters and clues. \nFIND THE GOLDEN EGG \nOne Golden will be hidden somewhere in each participating park between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Find the egg and win an Easter basket. \nAll ages are welcome! DESCRIPTION:Hop back to 1881 at Calico Ghost Town\, Sunday\, April 5\, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for an old-fashioned family-friendly Easter celebration with egg hunts\, photo ops with the Easter bunny\, live musical performances by our town favorites: Billie Bunnies\, High-D Boys ; @The Storytellers; The Blue Henrys; and the Bon Family & CA All-Star Cloggers.\n\n\n\nThere will be games (including our famous egg toss)\, gunfighter shows\, fast gun draws\, classroom sessions from the 1800s\, a magic show\, petting zoo\, balloon twister\, arts & crafts\, food and more.\n\n\nTake photos with our town reenactors or visit the infamous Maggie Mine and take a ride on the Calico Odessa Railroad train\, which was named for the town and mountain range of Calico and the nearby Odessa Canyon.\n\n\n\nThere are also plenty of town shops and food options with Lil’s Saloon\, Calico House Restaurant and the Silver Rush Burger.\n\n\n\nCalico attractions are an additional fee. We hope to see you next year!\n\nRegional Parks along with Fifth District Supervisor Joe Baca\, Jr. invites youth ages 7-16 the opportunity to connect with nature and learn how to fish on Saturday\, March 28\, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Glen Helen Regional Park. Space is limited and early registration is encouraged. \n\n\n \n\n\nREGISTER CLOSED\n\n\n\n\n\nThe annual event has grown in participation and impact each year\, offering children hands-on fishing experiences — from identifying different fish species and selecting bait\, to casting lines and learning how to clean and prepare their catch.\n\n\n \n\n\nCheck-in begins at 8 a.m. Vendors will be on-site and free popcorn will be available while supplies last. Every participant will receive a free t-shirt. Please provide shirt size(s) when registering.\n\n\n \n\n\nThe event will also provide free continental breakfast and lunch for participants and their parents or guardians.
