DESCRIPTION:Experience a day on the lake with a high-energy day of fishing\, fresh mountain air and friendly competition on the water as The Lake Gregory Company hosts its second annual trout derby on Saturday\, April 18\, from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with first\, second and third place prizes of $1\,000\, $500 and $250 for top winners of all ages. \nFor the derby\, the lake will be stocked with 1\,700 pounds of trout\, including rainbow trout\, lightning trout\, plus 300 pounds of trophy-size fish. \nThis community event is open to all ages and a state fishing license is required for ages over 16. The derby will be held rain or shine and no refund will be issued. \nRegister for the derby online at lakegregory.com/fishing before 9 p.m. on Friday\, April 17. The entry fee is $39.10 per person. \nIs there a special prize category for kids?\nYES\, a special Kids’ Division with prizes for participants ages 15 and under will be offered for this group. DESCRIPTION:This will be the 42nd Run Through the Pines. It will be sponsored by the Lake Gregory Company and you guessed it\, the Rim of the World Recreation and Park District. Save the date and please follow us on our Run Through The Pines Facebook and Instagram pages. The Run Through the Pines is a San Bernardino Rim Mountain Community Event and is one of the longest “running” runs in Southern California (the first one was in 1979). It features a 10K and 5K run (or walk) around Lake Gregory and is brought on by community support from sponsor\, vendors\, and volunteers from all over the mountain. \nRunners and walkers can enjoy a semi-paved roadway around Lake Gregory which passes scenic mountain and lake views. The run is at a 4\,720 feet elevation\, which makes it a perfect little challenge for mountain locals and especially those folks down the hill. Race day staging is at The Lake Gregory Company.
