DESCRIPTION:San Bernardino County Regional Parks is excited to bring its first Spring Jam Music Festival to Calico Ghost Town\, Saturday\, May 9\, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. This event replaces the former Bluegrass Festival\, aiming to bring all genres of music into one event for everyone to enjoy. \nThe lineup of live performances include: The Storytellers Band; Rose’s Pawn Shop; Blue Henry’s; Holy Crow; Herway to Hell; Eric Gorsuch; B-ok Band; and Terry Wayne Project. Other bands include local town favorites\, such as the Billhillyz and Mojave County Band. \nWhether you’re a music lover or just looking for a fun spring outing\, this family-friendly festival lineup also includes gunfighter shows\, Cook’s Racing Pigs\, Bon Family Cloggers\, line dancing demos\, Classroom Sessions from the 1800s\, Victorian Muse Theater\, egg toss and games\, arts & crafts\, shopping as well as town attractions. \nTown attractions include the Maggie Mine tour\, gold panning\, the Mystery Shack and Odessa Train rides. DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, November 29\, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.\, Calico Ghost Town will transform into a holiday festival with a photo op with Santa\, Christmas caroling and the annual tree lighting that is sure to amuse the merriest of little spirits in this picturesque Old West mining town. \nFestivalgoers can sing along or simply listen to your favorite holiday melodies. There will be a reading of the favorite “T’was the Night Before Christmas”\, contests for the whole family\, crafts for kids\, gunfights performed by our very own Calico Mountain Volunteers. \nAvoid the lines and parking nightmares at shopping malls and browse our specialty arts & craft shops for that hard-to-buy-for relative\, neighbor or friend. Some of our shops will be offering special discounts for holiday shopping. \nSanta arrives at 11 a.m. with a cheery “Ho! Ho! Ho!” for photos with the children and will light the Calico Christmas tree at 6:30 p.m. After the tree lighting\, Lil’s Saloon will be providing complimentary cookies and hot chocolate. \nThere will be plenty of festive foods available for purchase through our vendors\, Lil’s Saloon\, Silver Rush Burger and Calico House Restaurant. \nCalico will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is $10 per adult\, $5 children ages 4-11\, and 3 years\, and under are free. \nCalico Ghost Town offers full and partial camping at the park. Reservations may be booked by calling 1-877-387-2757 or emailing parks@parks.sbcounty.gov. Cabins\, bunkhouses and RV trailer rentals are also available. \nCalico Ghost Town is located off I-15 at Ghost Town Road in Yermo\, just 10 miles north of Barstow off Interstate 15.

DESCRIPTION:San Bernardino County Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk Josie Gonzales is thrilled to announce the return of the beloved Halloween marriage services at Calico Ghost Town\, taking place Friday\, Oct. 31\, 2025\, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 36600 Ghost Town Rd. in Yermo.  Couples are invited to say “I do” in one of California’s most unique and historic locations. Calico Ghost Town\, a preserved silver mining town dating back to 1881\, offers a one-of-a-kind setting that blends rustic charm with spooky seasonal spirit.  “I am proud to offer couples a truly unforgettable wedding experience\,” Gonzales said. “My team is excited to help people celebrate their love in a setting filled with history\, character\, and the magic of Halloween.”  \nThis annual event draws couples from across the region who are looking to exchange vows in a festive and memorable way. Participants are encouraged to dress in Halloween or western-themed attire to add a playful and personal touch to their ceremony.  \n “We are thrilled to be able to set the stage for the second annual destination wedding event at Calico Ghost Town. This year\, the town will be able to offer the full Halloween experience to the newly wedded couples as we kick off our second weekend of Ghost Haunt\,” said Beahta Davis\, director of Regional Parks. “We invite the newlyweds to stick around for this special occasion and enjoy the event from 5 to 9 p.m.”  \nAppointments are encouraged and must be scheduled by contacting the Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk’s Office at 855-732-2575.   \nThe last day to schedule an appointment is Oct. 28\, 2025. DESCRIPTION:Join San Bernardino County Regional Parks and Calico Ghost Town for its 59th Annual Calico Days event held over the weekend of Sept. 27-28\, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Calico Ghost Town that recreates the life and times of miners during the late 1800s. \nThe event focuses on the spirit of the Old West and features an 1880s costume contest\, reenactment skits\, pie-eating contest\, Miner’s Triathlon competition\, Burro Run competition\, Bucket Brigade contest\, live musical performances\, egg toss competition\, gunfights and more. \nThe Miner’s Triathlon and Bucket Brigade will be held on Saturday\, Sept. 27 and the Burro Run will be held on Sunday\, Sept. 28. \nThe triathlon for men and women competitions include rock pulling\, muckraking and tug-of-war events. The burro race is a competition featuring contestants guiding their burro from station to station across town to be the first to reach the finish line. The Bucket Brigade is a race to see whose team can scoop and pass buckets of water to fill up the water barrel first. \nFood options during the event include the Calico House Restaurant\, Lil’s Saloon\, and food vendors. Attendees can also visit Calico shops and attractions including Maggie Mine\, Mystery Shack\, Dorsey’s Gourmet Dog House shop and the Odessa Railroad train ride. Calico is pet-friendly and leashed pets are welcomed. \nThis family-friendly event embraces the life and culture of the 1880s when Calico was a bustling silver mining town from 1881 through the late 1890s when Calico began to see a steady decline in population as silver lost its value and people fled the town. \nAt the height of its glory\, the town’s population rose to about 1\,200 people in 1887\, and had about 22 saloons\, a schoolhouse\, post office\, its own version of a China Town\, a cemetery and its own newspaper. The town produced about $86 million in silver and about $45 million in borax\, hauling its product by the infamous 21-Mule Team. \nIn 1966\, Walter Knott\, the founder of Knott’s Berry Farm\, donated Calico to San Bernardino County\, which is now managed by the Regional Parks Department. \nAdmission is $10 for adults\, $5 for kids ages 4-11 and children under 3 are free.

DESCRIPTION:Join the San Bernardino County Regional Parks for a chillingly fun night at Calico Ghost Town’s campground with s’mores and campfire stories under the stars. \nCome and gather around the crackling fire\, toast the perfect marshmallow\, and listen as ghostly tales that bring the old west mining town to life. Whether you’re here for the eerie legends or just a cozy night with family and friends\, it’s the perfect way to embrace the magic of Calico. \nThis event will be held at the campground. The town will be closed for this event. We advise visitors to dress comfortably and wear comfortable shoes. Camping chairs\, blankets\, flashlights\, outside food and coolers are allowed. \nDue to the historic nature of the town\, not all areas are ADA accessible. Mines in the Calico area are extremely hazardous and must not be approached for any reason. \nAll ages are welcome\, including pets. Free s’mores will be provided while supplies last. Admission is $15 per vehicle for this event and free for those camping with us.

DESCRIPTION:San Bernardino County Regional is excited to commemorate the fourth annual California Days event at Calico Ghost Town over Presidents’ Day weekend on Feb. 15-16\, 2025\, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event celebrates early California history with a focus on California’s admission to the union as the nation’s 31st state on Sept. 9\, 1850\, and celebrated on February 22nd every year. \nThis family-friendly event highlights the people and culture of early California by hosting family activities\, gunfighter shows by the Calico Mountain Volunteer Gunfighters\, butter churning\, and reenactments along with educational displays on the state’s Bear Flag\, Pony Express Trail\, and Butterfield Overland Trail. \nServing as a natural backdrop to the Old West\, Calico will travel back in time with a \nLive music from popular artists such as Rose’s Pawnshop\, The Storytellers and Southern Spirit Band as well as Calico favorites\, Blacksmith Boys\, High D Boys and Orange Town Revival will be bring the town alive. Other entertainment includes the Victorian Muse Theater at the Town Hall and classroom reenactment sessions from the 1800s at the schoolhouse as well as some Wild West street skits performed by the “Scoundrels Alley” Calico troupe. \nThe popular Dorsey Dog Delivery Game also returns and is a doggie scavenger hunt where owners and their furry friends search for clues throughout town to win the ultimate prize of a treat goodie bag and first-place ribbon from Dorsey’s Dog House. \nEventgoers can enjoy our fair-style food lineup with for very hungry appetites\, will be open. All the Calico attractions will be open\, including Maggie Mine and the Calico Oddessa Railroad. Attractions are an additional charge. DESCRIPTION:Every year\, Calico Ghost Town brings together the sounds of Americana\, Blues and folk-rock together while offering games and activities for the entire family to enjoy. Join Regional Parks as Calico Ghost Town comes to life with lives bands\, such as Rose’s Pawn Shop\, the all-female group\, Lilies of the West and The Storytellers while strolling through town to enjoy arts & crafts\, face painting\, our infamous egg toss contest or see some racing hog’s and dog’s. There will be plenty to see\, such as our Victorian Muse Theatre or our schoolhouse sessions that relive what school was like for miner’s children in the 1800s. \nAdmission into Calico for the festival is $15 for adults\, $10 for youth (ages 4-11) and three and under are free. We are pet-friendly and have restaurants and stores for eating and shopping.
