DESCRIPTION:Join us at Mojave Narrows on Saturday\, April 5\, from 9: 30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for a hands-on education activity and learn how to recycle organic resources\, such as yard trimmings\, as well as fruit and vegetable waste into compost for gardens. All supplies will be provided\, while they last.\n\n\n \n\n\nInstead of putting organic waste into the garbage to be hauled to the landfill\, learn to compost. All ages are welcome. \n\n\n \n\n\nThe Narrows offers camping\, fishing\, hiking\, biking\, picnic shelters and grills\, a playground and splash pad. Leashed pets are welcome too!\n\n\n \n\n\nPark admission is $10 per vehicle and free for those camping with us. SUMMARY:Trout Derby at Mojave Narrows
DESCRIPTION:Regional Parks is excited to welcome back the one-day trout derby with our second event scheduled on Saturday\, March 8\, 2025\, from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mojave Narrows Regional Park. Gates open at 6:30 a.m. and pre-paid derby fees are encouraged. Derby fees are $20 per person and $10 per vehicle. A fishing license is required for all participants ages 16 years and older. \nParticipants will receive a wristband and packet with derby entry forms and rules. The derby is rain or shine and no refunds will be given. \nRegional Parks will have a weigh-in station available and encourages participants to allow plenty of time to weigh and enter their fish prior to the 1 p.m. cutoff time. \nDerby cash prizes will be awarded for: \n\nFirst place: $1\,000\nSecond place: $500\nThird place: $250\n\nWinners do not need to be present to claim their prize(s). Winners do not need to be present to claim their prize(s). Winners will be announced at approximately 1:15 p.m. at the Regional Parks weigh-in station area. \nTo pre-pay\, scan the QR code on the flier or visit the reservation website. \nMojave Narrows Regional Park is located at 18000 Yates Rd. in Victorville. Park hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and is closed on Christmas Day. \nTrout is stocked weekly on Thursdays with 747 pounds of trout. For the derby\, 1\,315 lbs. of trout\, including lightning trout\, will be stocked on Friday\, March 7. The lakes will be closed to public fishing on Friday\, March 7 and will reopen to the public after the derby ends. \nFor stocking dates\, fishing license information\, visit Regional Parks website.

DESCRIPTION:San Bernardino County Regional Parks offers month-long fishing derbies twice a year at Cucamonga-Guasti\, Glen Helen and Mojave Narrows Regional Parks. This event is a skilled competition open to the general public and anglers of all ages. Enter daily for a chance to win cash prizes. A vehicle day-pass\, Fishing license\, day fishing permit and derby entry permit are required.\n\nThe trout derby is a skilled event that runs March 1\, 2024 through March 31\, 2024 at Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park\, Glen Helen Regional Park and Mojave Narrows Regional Park.\n\nThis event is a skilled competition open to the general public and anglers of all ages. A vehicle day-pass\, Day Fishing Permit and Derby Entry Permit are required.\n\nDerby Entry Permit must be purchased upon arrival and prior to the start of fishing. DESCRIPTION:Mojave Narrows Regional Park will be hosting its first Harvest Festival and Haunted Hayride event on Saturday\, Oct. 7\, 2023\, form 2-9 p.m. The festival celebrates the beginning of fall with a touch of Halloween spook in the haunted hayride. The event will also include a pumpkin patch\, trick-or-treating\, costume contests for all ages including fur babies\, as well as family games\, pie-eating contest\, event booths\, live music\, food and more. \nThe hayrides have sold out\, but there is still plenty to do and fun to be had. \nThe event will be held rain or shine\, and no refunds will be issued. Festival entry can be prepaid at https://bit.ly/46sJo9S and is $10 per vehicle. \nRegional Parks is excited to bring this event to the high-desert communities and intends to add host this as an annual event every year. DESCRIPTION:The catfish derby is a skilled event that runs August 1\, 2023 thru August 31\, 2023 at Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park\, Glen Helen Regional Park and Mojave Narrows Regional Park. The event is a skilled competition open to the general public and anglers of all ages. Derby entry is $5 and does not include the park entrance and park fishing fees. Gates open at 7:30 a.m. and the derby hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. State and County fishing regulations apply (except second pole stamp).
