YUCAIPA: The water is back on at the middle & north RV campground but is scheduled to be turned off Monday, Aug, 17, for scheduled maintenance. Be advised that lining up or stopping on Oak Glen Rd. to enter Yucaipa is not permitted prior to 7:30 a.m. ‘No Stopping’ signs are posted along Oak Glen Rd. for safety and traffic impact.
PRADO: Due to current lake conditions, fishing activities at Prado Regional Park are temporarily suspended until further notice. For the safety of our park visitors and protection of the lake environment, guests are asked to refrain from fishing or entering the lake while the suspension is in effect. Park staff will continue to monitor lake conditions. Fishing will resume once conditions are determined to be appropriate for recreational fishing. We appreciate your patience, understanding, and cooperation. Please check back for updates on our website regarding the reopening of fishing activities.

Experience a day on the lake with a high-energy day of fishing, fresh mountain air and friendly competition on the water as The Lake Gregory Company hosts its second annual trout derby on Saturday, April 18, from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with first, second and third place prizes of $1,000, $500 and $250 for top winners of all ages.
For the derby, the lake will be stocked with 1,700 pounds of trout, including rainbow trout, lightning trout, plus 300 pounds of trophy-size fish.
This community event is open to all ages and a state fishing license is required for ages over 16. The derby will be held rain or shine and no refund will be issued.
Register for the derby online at lakegregory.com/fishing before 9 p.m. on Friday, April 17. The entry fee is $39.10 per person.
Is there a special prize category for kids?
YES, a special Kids’ Division with prizes for participants ages 15 and under will be offered for this group. To qualify for this category, anglers must be 15 years old or younger on the day of the event and hold a valid derby ticket.
The winner in this division will be determined by the longest trout caught within the age group during official derby hours.
