  • Daily: 7:30 AM to 5 PM
  • NOTE: The main campground will be going through a “Turf Reseeding” project, beginning on Nov. 15, 2023. Due to this schedule, the campground will not be accepting any new reservations from Nov. 13-30, 2023. For more information & map, visit the turf reseeding webpage.

Located in the Chino Valley basin where San Bernardino, Riverside, Orange and Los Angeles Counties connect, Prado Regional Park is a one-stop recreational paradise.

The name Prado is derived from California’s early Spanish days when the countryside was known as a “prado” or meadow.

This park is loaded with outdoor recreation and adventure offering, fishing, camping, hiking, biking and nature trails, splash pad, disc golf and outstanding picnic facilities are just a sampling of what this park has to offer.

A unique feature of Prado is that it has a meeting room that seats 80 people and is ideal for club meetings, parties and receptions.

Additional activities at the park include two 18-hole golf courses at El Prado Golf Course, an Olympic shooting range at Shoot Prado, an equestrian center at Prado Park Equestrian Center and an archery range by Oranco Bowmen Archery Club.

Archery & Shooting Range

Prado Regional Park offers both archery and shooting ranges.

  • The archery range is operated by the nonprofit Oranco Bowmen Archery Club. Visit orancobowmen.org for more information on archery.
  • The Prado Olympic shooting range is operated is home to the 1984 Olympic Games. Visit shootprado.com for more information.

Disc Golf

Prado Regional Park offers the sport of disc golf as a form of recreation or competition. The sport is designed to be enjoyed by people of all ages and is easy to learn. Prado has an 18-hole disc course. The golf disc “Frisbee” is thrown from a tee area to the target hole.

The El Prado Golf Course is located in the Prado Regional Park and offers two regulation 18-hole, Par 72 championship golf courses, ‘Butterfield Stage’ and ‘El Prado.’ Both layouts are straight forward and golfer-friendly. Boating & Water Sports

Prado Regional Park lake is open to electric trolling rowboats, kayaks and canoes.

NOTE: Rowboats, kayak and canoes are not available for rental.

Camping

Prado Regional Park offers many options of camping and is dog-friendly. There are many camping options as well as amenities to enjoy with family and friends.

Equestrian

Prado Park Equestrian Center (PPEC) is situated on 14 acres and is home to over 100 horses, with trainers available for multiple disciplines. The equestrian center offers boarding as well as horseback riding and holds annual horse shows and community riding events throughout the year. Fishing

Prado Regional Park offers year-round recreational fishing in a 60-acre lake. Whether you are an experienced angler or just learning, Prado stocks trout from November to April and Catfish from May to September. A California state fishing license is required to fish at all our parks and we offer fishing workshops and derbies throughout the year.

The lakes are stocked every Thursday, weather permitting. The lake is open on stocking days.

Hiking & Nature Trails

Prado Regional Park offer a wide range of trails and footpaths to explore either on a leisurely walk or with a group of experienced hikers. No matter your skill level, our parks offer some of the most beautiful landscapes to travel through.

Dog Park Facility

Prado Regional Park dog park concessionaire, Prado Recreation, sits on 585 acres of land and ponds and offers activities such as, dog training and hunting dog training. In addition, the facility offers day use of the dog park for dogs to run and a pond to swim and play. The facility offers boarding as well.

Prado Recreation is open daily from 7:30 AM to 5 PM. Entrance to the dog park is the gate located across the street from the archery range at 17505 Euclid Ave. The office and kennels are located a 1/2 mile inside the Dog Park and anyone entering must check-in with the office.

Model Airplane Runway & Field

Prado Regional Park offers open space for the Pomona Valley Model Airplane Club members to meet and fly. The well maintained runway is approximately ‘800’ x  50’ with enough asphalt pit area to support 30 canopies and features unobstructed flying in all directions.

The Pomona Valley Model Airplane Club (PVMAC) is an AMA Gold Leader Club that operates as a nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement and enjoyment of R/C model airplane flying. The club is composed of approximately 250 members.

Splash Pad

Prado Regional Park offers a splash pad for water play. This area is a zero-depth water playground for children of all ages to enjoy.

Prado Regional Parks offers open spaces and a safe, clean playground for youth and families to enjoy while promoting the building blocks of social interaction.

Picnic Shelter

Prado Regional Park serves as a great site for your next event, family gathering or company picnic. Prado offers picnic shelters to rent. Fees are dependent on the type of event and amount of space needed. Some events will require an Interim Use Permit.

Horseshoe Pit

Prado Regional Park offers a horseshoe pit area for recreation. Pitching horseshoes builds friendly competition among family and friends, and is a great way to strengthen the community.

Multi-Purpose Room

The multi-purpose room has a fully-equipped kitchen available to rent for meetings, special events and receptions for small parties.  The room holds up to 80 people.

Annual Entrance Passes

  • $125.00: Mulit-Park Pass. Valid for 12 months from date of purchase, excludes special events & holidays. (Valid at all parks except Lake Gregory, Moabi and Calico.)
  • $60.00: Individual Park Pass. Valid for 12 months from date of purchase, excludes special events & holidays. (Valid at Prado Regional Park ONLY!)
  • $100.00: Senior Citizen/ Qualified Individual with a Disability, Veterans, and active-duty personnel in the United States Armed Services, Annual Vehicle Entrance Pass. Valid for 12 months from date of purchase, excludes special events & holidays. (Valid at all parks except Lake Gregory, Moabi and Calico.)
  • $25.00: Pedestrian Annual Pass. Includes one (1) dog. Valid for 12 months from date of purchase, excludes special events & holidays. (Valid at all parks except Lake Gregory, Moabi and Calico.)

Fishing Fees

  • Mon-Wed. Daily Fishing Permit: $10.00/person, all ages. 
  • Thur-Sun. Daily Fishing Permit: $12.00/person. all ages.
  • Derby fee $20.00 per person

Boat Launch Fees

  • Rowboats -$5.00/day 16′ max., no gas engines, catamarans, or inflatable vessels.
  • Kayak/canoes – $5.00

Picnic Reservation Fees

  • Large group sites without shelter: $125.00
  • Large group sites with shelter and additional facilities: $400.00
  • Medium group sites with shelter:$250.00
  • Liability insurance required for picnic shelter reservations. Please ask Park Ranger for details.

Multi-Purpose Building

  • Rental: 2 hour minimum with a $100 refundable security deposit and a $100 cleaning deposit.

Additional park entry fee depending on time slot.

  • Non-refundable reservation fee: $20.00.
  • Regular Park hours: $75.00/hour.
  • Outside normal Park hours: $150.00/hour.
  • All day building fee: $500.00/day.
  • Soccer/Softball Field Use Fee: $80.00 each field.

Camping Fees

  • Maximum stay 14 days within any 30-day period, excluding special events.
  • Non-refundable camping reservation fee – $7.00 per site.
  • With hookups $ 40.00/unit/night.
  • Holidays and special event weekends $50.00 (two night minimum) .
  • Per Person over 6 per camping unit: $5.00/person/night.
  • Group Tent Camping 20 or more: $5.00/person.
  • Established Youth Groups: $5.00/person
  • Senior Citizen (62 years and older), Active Military, Veterans & Disabled camping valid Sun. – Thurs., excluding holidays & special events. $5.00 discount per night.

CANCELLATION POLICY

When “Transferring a site on the same date at the same park.”

  • No charge, regardless of the date.

When “Transferring a site to a different date at the same park.”

  • 31 days or more prior to arrival date: cancellation fee of $10 plus the original reservation fee will be charged.
  • 30-11 days prior to arrival date: 50% of the use fee will be charged.  Holidays/Special Events – first full night on 2 night minimum reservations will be charged.
  • 10-1 days prior to arrival date or mid-reservation: full use fee will be charged  Holidays/Special Events – first two full nights on 2 night minimum reservations will be charged. 
  • Cancellation policy: $10 Cancellation Fee plus the original reservation fee will be charged if your cancellation is received 31 or more days prior to your arrival date.
  • 50% of the first night fee plus the original reservation fee will be charged if your cancellation is received 30-11 days prior to your arrival date.
  • Holidays/Special events: first full night on 2 night minimum reservations plus the original reservation fee  will be charged if your cancellation is received 30 – 11 days prior to your arrival date. 
  • Full first night fee plus the original reservation fee will be charged if your cancellation is received less than 11 days prior to your arrival date.
  • Holidays/Special events – first two full nights on 2 night minimum reservations plus the original reservation fee will be charged if your cancellation is received less than 11 days prior to your arrival date. 
  • Changes in Reservation dates are subject to a new reservation fee.

*Original Reservation fee – This is the original reservation fee that was charged when the customer made the original reservation.  No additional reservation fee should be charged.
