Junior H is a leading force in the corridos tumbados (trap corrido) genre, known for blending traditional Mexican music with urban influences. The Mexican artist launched his career in 2019 with his debut album, Mi Vida en un Cigarro, and rose to prominence with viral hits like “No Eh Cambiado” and his appearance on Natanael Cano’s pioneering Corridos Tumbados album. He has since released multiple hit albums and singles, including “Y LLORO” and “Lady Gaga,” the latter earning him a Premio Juventud award. In 2023, the genre-blending pioneer appeared for the first time on the Billboard Hot 100 for his track “Fin de Semana” with Oscar Maydon. His work with artists like Peso Pluma and Rauw Alejandro has propelled him to No. 1 on the Mexico Songs and Hot Latin Songs charts. Junior H’s lyrics tend to explore themes of ambition and heartbreak, and his emotionally raw style is commonly referred to as urban sierreño (“sad” sierreño).
