Regional Parks Camping

Each Regional Park offers diverse outdoor recreation opportunities in settings that range from metro, mountain and desert sceneries.  Six of our Regional Parks offer scenic camping, from tent to RV’s to rentals, all locations offer partial, full and dry sites. 

Camping is available at the following parks:

  • Yucaipa

Whether you are new to the area, a resident or visitor, our campsites provide all that is needed to hook up your rig. Group camping is also available at our parks.

No RV or trailer? No problem! Regional Parks now offers the ultimate trailer RV Experience with rentals at Calico, Mojave Narrows, Prado and Yucaipa Regional Parks. The trailers are already hooked-up and set up for you when you arrive. We offer 22-foot, 28-foot and 30-foot rentals. The trailers are EVO Travel Trailer by Forest River.

NOTE: Not all sizes are available at each park. Check the reservation site for actual trailer sizes at each campground.

  • 30-foot trailers are $160 per night
  • 28-foot trailers are $160 per night
  • 22-foot trailers are $140 per night
  • Two night minimum required.
  • Pets are allowed with a $200 pet deposit.
  • Fully refundable deposit required. ($300).
  • Walk through at check-in required.
  • Linens & cookware not included.

Please note: There are no late check-ins and check-outs with RV Experience reservations. Check-in is at 3 p.m. and check-out is at 11:30 a.m.

Late check-ins will result in full loss of reservation.

The damage/clean-up deposit (refundable minus any actual costs for damage and required clean-up) will be $300. The deposit made does not relieve any party from liability for the cost of damage or clean-up that exceed the amount of the deposit.

Are Camping Discounts Offered? How to Apply?

The discounts are refunded at check-in after verification. Discounts are offered for Seniors (62 or over), Active Military, Veterans and those with Disabilities. *Eligibility based on verification at check-in. *Valid Sunday-Thursday, excluding holidays and special events. $5.00 discount per night.

Arriving Late- After Hours information for Your Camping Reservation

If you arrive after park closure, proceed directly to the campsite indicated on your reservation. Additional after hours information will be provided in your reservation confirmation. Email will come from Guest Services and may be found in your SPAM or JUNK email. If you are unable to arrive on your reserved date, your camp site will be held until you arrive. Reservations must be made at least 1 day in advance.

What is the Cancellation Policy?

  • When Canceling / Transferring / Rescheduling:
  • 31 days or more prior to the reservation arrival date – $10 cancellation fee and the $10 reservation fee is non-refundable.
  • 30-11 days prior to the reservation arrival date – 50 percent of the first night fee and the $10 reservation fee is non refundable.
  • 10-1 days prior to the reservation arrival date – The full first nights fee and the $10 reservation fee is non-refundable.

How far in advance can you reserve?

  • Reservations can be made up to 1 year in advance.
  • Reservations cannot be booked on the same day of arrival, 24 hours in advance only.
  • Calico Ghost Town accepts Reservations for the “Special Events” six (6) months prior.

What Time is Check-in & Check-out?

  • Check-in: 3 p.m.
  • Check out: 11:30 a.m.

What days are the parks closed?

All parks are closed on Christmas Day and the third (3) Wednesday in November for all-staff park training.

When do the pool and waterslides open?

Swim complexes at Glen Helen and Yucaipa are open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Please check the website for current hours and days of operation.

Do you have a waiting list if campsites are full?

No, the sites are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please check the reservation website as often as possible

How long can you camp in park?

The maximum length of stay is 14 days in any 30-day period at any one San Bernardino County campground at a time. If you stay for this length of time at any Regional Park campground you must check out for 14 days before re-booking. You may not re-book under another account or name.

Is there fishing year round? Is a Fishing License Required?

Yes. Lakes are stocked with catfish and with trout. catfish season is May-September and trout season is late November to early April.  Yes, fishing licenses are required to fish for anyone 16 years of age or older. Fishing permits are also required and can purchased on the day of arrival at the park. Fishing licenses are “not” sold at the parks but can be found online here, or find a local retailer agent in your area here.

  • Quiet in the campground is required between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Maximum amount of people per site is 6. After the 6th person each additional person up to 8 will be charged $5.00 per person per night.
  • One RV or trailer is permitted per site.
  • Campers must have a tow vehicle on site for their trailers. Trailers cannot be dropped off.
  • Trucks with campers must leave them on the truck. Campers not allowed to be set up on ground.
  • You are expected to respect other campers, their sites, belongings, and their privacy. This includes, but not limited to, walking through other sites, unwanted company, and soliciting.
  • Check out time is 11:30 am. Failure to renew by 11:30 am may result in your site being rented to another camper. Payment after 11:30 am is considered late. Please note: Two (2) late payment warnings will be given. Three (3) late payments equals eviction.
  • Camping tents allowed in designated tent sites only as directed by park staff and map.
  • Shade covers and awnings are allowed in all sites as long as they are on the dirt or pavement. No shade covers or awnings are allowed on the grass. No metal skirting allowed.
  • The turf areas are irrigated at night, do not leave items outside that cannot get wet.
  • Fires are allowed only in fire rings or containers elevated at least 16 inches above ground.
  • Pets must be kept on a leash no longer than 6′ at all times, per County Ordinance. Pets can be tethered on the concrete table, sewer pipe vent, or RV unit. Pets may not be tethered to trees or staked to the grass. Pet owners must pick up after their pets. Campers may be asked to leave if their dog(s) disturb other campers after 10:00 p.m. All pets over the month of four (4) months must have current vaccination with a rabies vaccine approved by the CA State Department of Public Health and be officially tagged (licensed) per County Ord# 1764 Sec.32027. Records must be shown upon request.
  • All vehicles must be parked on the asphalt. Campers who have more vehicles than will fit on asphalt will be asked to remove excess vehicles from park.
  • All vehicles must have current registration tags and proof of insurance. Drivers must have drivers license.
  • Changing oil and working on vehicles is not allowed in the campsites.
  • Fireworks and firearms are prohibited on all San Bernardino County Parks.
  • Operating off-road vehicles on the park is prohibited.
  • Damaging trees is not allowed and may result in prosecution. This includes nothing being tied to trees, including dogs, awnings, shade covers, clothes, etc. No cutting or breaking of limbs permitted.
  • Littering is unlawful and may result in prosecution. Please use receptacles that are placed throughout the campground. Only usual and customary household trash permitted, all other trash is up to the camper to dispose of properly. Please keep the park clean for all to enjoy.
  • The campsite must be kept in a presentable manner free of litter and debris. Storage is not allowed at the campsites. Placing items under trailers is not allowed. No structures, buildings, sheds, storage containers, refrigerators, pools, or furniture are allowed in the campsites. Necessary camping items that are kept outside should be kept together in an orderly manner. You may be asked to leave if your site is not left in an orderly manner.
  • Minors may not camp unsupervised. No minor children (under 18) can be left unattended.
  • Campers must obey all speed and traffic limits. Speed limit in park is 20 mph and 10 mph in campground. Please observe directional arrows. Remember children play here!
  • When entering park camper and all guests must stop at gate and identify themselves. Each guest vehicle will be charged $8.00 entry fee (Mon-Fri), $10 (Sat-Sun), and $10 on holidays and holiday weekends.
  • It is against County rules to solicit any person or to run a business on county property.
  • Violation of any park rule, county ordinance, local, state or, federal law can result in prosecution and/or eviction.
