MOJAVE RIVER FORKS: Due to an ongoing pavement project on State Route 173, there may be traffic delays leading to the park entrance.
PRADO: Day watering is scheduled by the Peacock, Red Tail Hawk, Blue Heron, Osprey and Mallard picnic shelters.

Join Regional Parks on Saturday, March 7, from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for our annual trout derby at Mojave Narrows Regional Park. Gates open at 6:30 a.m. and pre-paid derby fees are encouraged. Derby fees are $20 per person and $15 per vehicle. A fishing license is required for all participants ages 16 years and older.
Participants will receive a wristband and packet with derby entry forms and rules. The derby is rain or shine, and no refunds will be given.
Regional Parks will have a weigh-in station available and encourage participants to allow plenty of time to weigh and enter their fish prior to the 1 p.m. cutoff time.

Winners do not need to be present to claim their prize(s). Winners will be announced at approximately 1:15 p.m. at the Regional Parks weigh-in station area.

Trout is stocked weekly on Thursdays with 830 pounds of trout. For the derby, 1,660 lbs. of trout, including lightning trout, will be stocked on Friday, March 6. The lakes will be closed to public fishing on Friday, March 6, and will reopen to the public after the derby ends.
