Every year, Calico Ghost Town brings out the scare, fun and excitement of Halloween. This annual event includes, trick-or-treating, costume contests, pumpkin carving, kids’ carnival tent, live entertainment stage shows, haunted attractions and more.

Weekend I: Herway to Hell
Known as the world’s first female band to play tribute to AC/DC, this all-female metal band from Los Angeles channels the music’s heavy rumble and backs it with the pure rock solid leaded loudness.

Weekend II: Eric Roebuck Band
Eric Roebuck a guitar player, vocalist, and songwriter from Southern California plays with unique stylings of rock, blues, and country music, covering classics from Ray Charles, Johnny Cash and Creedence Clearwater Revival.
In 2020, he began releasing music under his own and has since followed up with releases like “White Line Flyin”, a slanky slide guitar driven two step and “Roll on By” a bluesy tune reminiscent of an unreleased ZZ Top side project.

Storytellers Band
The Storytellers is a prominent progressive bluegrass band that has established itself as a creative force in the Southern California Roots Music scene.
They draw from the rich canon of traditional bluegrass, country blues, old-time and folk music as a basis for inspired improvisations and intrepid vocal harmonies.
Blue Henrys
The Blue Henrys were formed in 2003 by guitarist-vocalist, Henry Merenda. Known for putting their own spin on Chicago-style blues, they’ve been a fixture on the High Desert blues scene, performing at numerous festivals including the New Blues Festival in both Long Beach and Adelanto.
Terrance Wayne Project
One of Las Vegas’ top variety bands, singing hits from Pink, Maroon 5, Journey, Bruno Mars, Folsom Blues Boogie to Enrique Iglesias – R&B, funk, dance, oldies, and classic rock!
Holy Crow Jazz Band
Based in the High Desert of Southern California, Holy Crow Jazz Band performs old-time jazz and blues from the 1900s throughout the 1930s.
The band’s repertoire includes many popular and obscure songs recorded by such artists as King Oliver, Bessie Smith, Bix Beiderbecke, Jabbo Smith, Louis Armstrong, Cliff Edwards, Django Reinhardt, as well as original compositions.

Salem Sisters
The theatrical performance by the Salem Sisters takes us on a journey of the three Sanderson sisters: Winifred, Mary, and Sarah, the main characters from the Disney films Hocus Pocus and Hocus Pocus 2.
Odessa Dead
Odessa Dead performs a chilling reading of Edgar Allen Poe’s, the Raven.
Odessa Dead will also be performing: The Mysterious Sarah Winchester.
Classroom Sessions
Experience a real 1880s classroom and history lessons miner children learned. Calico was home to many children and teachers. Space is limited to the first 20 people each session.
Also, enjoy a theatrical schoolhouse séance in the evening.
Pico Pistolero's Séance Street Theatre
BEWARE! Scoundrels and shady characters running confidence card table games and street games tricking unsuspecting players all across Calico Ghost Town! Watch out for Snake Oil salesmen, card tricks and buffoonery
Kalvan Family Circus
Jack & Jeri’s shared love of circus and stunt skills unexpectedly evolved into their careers. Their sons, Max and Oz naturally grew up learning many unusual skills as well. This extraordinary family has received rave reviews, performing at fairs, festivals, theaters and corporate events. The family also appeared on America’s Got Talent, KC Undercover, and The Gong Show (where they won the final episode).
Wildlife Adventure Time
An educational animal presentation showcasing rescue animals that cannot go back out to the wild due to injuries sustained from varying situations. A photo meet and greet with the animals are available after the show.
Wild Man Dan
The Wild Man Dan Show offers an exceptional in-person program designed to captivate audiences of all ages. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to safely interact up close with a variety of venomous animals, non-venomous reptiles and invertebrates. Throughout the show learn about the differences between snakes and lizards, and more.
Danny Magic
International award-winning magician Danny Magic specializes in engaging audience members and including them in mind-blowing world class sleight of hand. With the title of 2012 and 2014 Hollywood Magic Castle Champion, Danny Magic is known in his field as Magician of the Stars with a client list that includes many of Hollywood’s top celebrities.
Calico Mountain Volunteer Gunfighters

Join us in some real ol’ gunfightin’ shows reminiscent from the wild, wild West. The Calico Mountain Volunteer Gunfighters will be staging shows Friday nights, Saturdays and Sundays.

Open to all ages while supplies last. Prizes will be awarded for each category:

Costume Contest
Contest begins after trick-or-treating . Held on the Main Stage, the costume contest is open to all ages and will be judged in the following:

- Youth 13 and under
- For groups: the limit is five (5) per group for judging
Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:

- Most creative
Store Front Decorating Contest
As part of our Halloween festivities, we will be hosting our annual shop decorating contest.
Concessionaires are encouraged to decorate their porches and shop fronts in a general Halloween theme.
Visitors are encouraged to obtain a voting ballot from the Park Office to cast their vote for their favorite shop front.

Campsite Decorating Contest
ATTENTION ALL CAMPERS!
We invite you to participate in our annual Ghost Haunt Campsite Decorating Contest.
THEME
This year’s theme will be the Terror Under The Big Top. Use your imagination and show us your most creative displays.
Just decorate you campsite to match one of the following categories in your interpretation of this year’s theme:
Winners will be announced each Sunday at 10:15 a.m. on the Main Street stage in town.
“Overall Best” winner will receive one (1) complimentary full hookup campsite to return for either weekend during our 2025 Ghost Haunt Festival.
Awards will be given to the winners of the other three categories.

All weather conditions will be taken into consideration. Judges decisions are final.
Doggie Costume Contest
Bring your four-legged fur baby to join in on the dog-gone fun as Dorsey’s Dog House hosts the Doggie Costume Contest on Saturdays on the Main Street Stage.
Here’s a chance to dress up your furry friend(s) and show off their stuff.

Trick or Treating is offered each day on both weekends of the Haunt by all our concessionaires throughout town.

Street Scarers
During the evening Scare Hours, costumed creatures descend on to Main Street for a quick scare, photo opportunity or chill down your spine. Watch out as they are lurking around every corner.
