San Bernardino County Special Districts and Regional Parks departments are excited to bring two special World Cup official FIFA-sanctioned viewing events, starting with the quarterfinal matches at Kessler Park on Saturday, July 11, from 1 to 9 p.m. and the championship match at Prado Regional Park on Sunday, July 19, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Spectators can expect a spectacular viewing experience of the quarterfinal and championship matches on a 17-foot x 10-foot Mega LED screen with surround sound. Each park offers large viewing areas and plenty of space for fans to cheer on their favorite teams, players and goals scored.
The parties will also include food vendors and fun zone areas with inflatables, family-friendly activities and more. All ages are welcome. Leashed pets are welcome too!
The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors recently approved the FIFA World Cup Watch Parties events at both parks as a way to provide a low-cost, family-friendly opportunity for residents and communities to connect and engage together while enjoying outdoor recreational and educational activities that align with the Countywide Vision.
Director of Regional Parks Beahta Davis says hosting a World Cup Watch Party at Prado Regional Park is an excellent way to bring the community together and give visitors an opportunity to experience outdoor recreation while enjoying something they love to do.
“Regional Parks is very excited to bring such a global event to Prado where families can not only come and watch the championship match near the lake but also come out and kick a soccer ball around, ride a bike, fish or explore the park,” said Davis.
