Build Your Own Compost at Mojave Narrows

April 5 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am

A man sifts banana peels into a composting box with a bag of compost and fruit peels next to a composting can with lid.
Join us at Mojave Narrows on Saturday, April 5, from 9: 30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for a hands-on education activity and learn how to recycle organic resources, such as yard trimmings, as well as fruit and vegetable waste into compost for gardens. All supplies will be provided, while they last.

Instead of putting organic waste into the garbage to be hauled to the landfill, learn to compost. All ages are welcome.

The Narrows offers camping, fishing, hiking, biking, picnic shelters and grills, a playground and splash pad. Leashed pets are welcome too!

Park admission is $10 per vehicle and free for those camping with us. Beginning Saturday, park hours will be 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Follow Regional Parks on Facebook and Instagram to stay updated on park news.
