PARK HOURS

  • Swim Season: The 2024 swim season begins Memorial Weekend. Please check back for hours.
  • Daily: 7:30 AM to 8 PM.
  • Closed: Christmas day.

Located at the base of the chaparral covered hills of the Cajon Pass with scenic views of both the San Gabriel and San Bernardino Mountains, Glen Helen Regional Park offers 1,340 acres of recreational activities from the relaxing to rugged.

Glen Helen offers two lakes for fishing, a swim complex with pool, dual water slides, splash pad, large group shelter picnic areas accommodating up to 300 people and is ideal for that company picnic, large family gathering or group event. There are also several picnic areas under shady trees with amazing views throughout the park.

Enjoy wide open spaces for your favorite field games or bring the kids out to play on the latest playground equipment that will challenge their bodies and their minds!

We are also home to the Glen Helen Amphitheater, a 65,000 seat outdoor concert venue, the Glen Helen Raceway, an off-highway competitive event facility and the annual Sheriff’s Rodeo.

Activities

Camping

Glen Helen provides a primitive and desert camping experience with limited amenities. The campground is not located inside the park itself but is located across the street and down the road from the main park entrance. The campsite is dog-friendly and is fenced and gated. Security codes are required for entrance.

Fishing

Glen Helen Regional Park has two lakes and year-round fishing. We stock trout from November to April and Catfish from May to September. A California state fishing license is required to fish at our parks and we offer fishing workshops and derbies throughout the year.

We also offer a bait shop for your convenience.

The lakes are stocked every Thursday, weather permitting. Both lakes are stocked and closed on stocking days.

Hiking & Walking Trails

Glen Helen Regional Parksoffers a wide range of trails and footpaths to explore either on a leisurely walk or with a group of experienced hikers. No matter your skill level, our parks offer some of the most beautiful landscapes to travel through.

Glen Helen Amphitheater

Glen Helen Amphitheater (formerly the San Manuel Amphitheater) is home to concerts from April to November.

The Glen Helen Amphitheater can hold up to 65,000 people, making it the largest outdoor music venue in the U.S.

Glen Helen Raceway

Glen Helen Raceway offers four motocross tracks and is open for practices on certain days. Calling before hauling is highly recommended. Visit https://glenhelen.com/track-rental/ for rental and contact information.

Swimming

Glen Helen Regional Park offers summer heat relief with our pool and water slides. The pools open on Memorial Day weekend and close Labor Day weekend. Check with each park for summer hours. All our pools are monitored by lifeguards.

2023 Swim Season has Closed: the swim facility is closed until May 2024. We will post the pool schedule as we near opening day on Memorial Day weekend. See you then!

Disc Golf

Glen Helen Regional Park offers an 18-hole disc golf course for recreation and competition The sport is designed to be enjoyed by people of all ages and is easy to learn. A golf disc is thrown from a tee area to a target, which is the “hole.”

Picnic Shelters

Glen Helen Regional Park serves as a great site for your next event, family gathering or company picnic. We offer three group shelters for rent that hold up to 300 people. In addition, we offer free open picnic areas with barbecue grills throughout the park.

Our parks offer picnic shelters to rent. Fees are dependent on the type of event and amount of space needed. Some events will require an Interim Use Permit Please contact us directly for more information.

Glen Helen Water Slide

Water Slides

Glen Helen Regional Park offers visitors off all ages to come out during the summer and make a splash in one of our adventurous water slides. Our slides are open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend each year.

Height Minimum Requirement

Children must be 48″ to ride water slides.

Playground

Glen Helen Regional Park offers open spaces and safe, clean playgrounds for youth and families to enjoy while promoting the building blocks of social interaction.

There is a Weevos/Eevos playground creative play for children ages 2 to 12.

Splash Pad

Glen Helen Regional Park offers a splash pad for water play. This area is a zero-depth water playground for children of all ages to enjoy.

Non-refundable reservation fee: $10

Maximum stay 14 days within any 30-day period, excluding holidays and special events.

  • Use of dump station when not paying camp fees: $15

Non-refundable group fee: $20 (max. 150 people for groups)

  • Group Tent Camping 20 or more: $5/person.
  • Established Youth Groups – no hookup $5/person (min, 20 people)

CANCELLATION POLICY

When “Transferring a site on the same date at the same park.”

  • No charge, regardless of the date

When “Transferring a site to a different date at the same park.”

  • 31 days or more prior to arrival date: cancellation fee of $10 plus the original reservation fee.
  • 30-11 days prior to arrival date: 50% of the first night fee will be charged. 
  • Holidays/Special Events: first full night on 2 night minimum reservations will be charged.
  • 10-1 days prior to arrival date or mid-reservation: full first night fee will be charged 
  • Holidays/Special Events: first two full nights on 2 night minimum reservations will be charged. 
  • Cancellation policy: $10 Cancellation Fee plus the original reservation fee will be charged if your cancellation is received 31 or more days prior to your arrival date.
  • 50% of the first night fee plus the original reservation fee will be charged if your cancellation is received 30-11 days prior to your arrival date.
  • Holidays/Special events: first full night on 2 night minimum reservations plus the original reservation fee will be charged if your cancellation is received 30 – 11 days prior to your arrival date. 
  • FULL first night fee plus the original reservation fee will be charged if your cancellation is received less than 11 days prior to your arrival date.
  • Holidays/Special events – first two full nights on 2 night minimum reservations plus the original reservation fee will be charged if your cancellation is received less than 11 days prior to your arrival date. Changes in Reservation dates are subject to a new reservation fee.

*Original Reservation fee: This is the original reservation fee that was charged when the customer made the original reservation.  No additional reservation fee should be charged.

Picnic Reservation Fees

Non-refundable reservation fee: $10

Fees may be different then listed due to the nature of your event. Some events will require an Interim Use Permit. Call the park for more information.

  • Pinehill, Ash Cove: $100/day
  • Coyote or Meadowlark: $400/day
  • Damage/cleanup deposit (refundable minus cost of actual costs for damage/clean-up): A minimum of $100. The amount will be determined by the size and nature of the event. A deposit does not relieve any party from liability for the cost of damage or clean-up that exceed the amount of the deposit.
  • Fees are non-refundable if the shelter is canceled less than 30 days before reservation date.
  • Liability insurance required for picnic shelter reservations. Please ask Park Ranger for details.
