Glen Helen Project Map
Regional Parks has been busy working on many beautification projects around the park. From new picnic shelters and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant restrooms and parking to new rodeo-themed waterslides and splashpad, these projects aim to improve the park experience for our communities to enjoy.
Prop. 68 Per Capita Grant Funding
Thanks to the Office of Grants and Local Services (OGALS), a grant program offered by the California Department of Parks and Recreation, Regional Parks has been able to work on many projects throughout the park under this grant funding, including:
- New Rodeo-themed splashpad
- New ADA picnic shelters & parking
- New ADA compliant restrooms
- New island bridge
- New entry monument
County General Funds
Thanks to the the support by the County Board of Supervisors, Regional Parks has been able to install three (3) new rodeo-themed waterslides. Other projects funded by county general funds include the splashpad, picnic shelters, restrooms, new entry monument, and interior road and parking lot improvements.
Community Development Block Grant
The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)Program supports community development activities and stronger more resilient communities. Regional Parks was awarded the CDBG grant to install a new concrete boat dock with park seating and viewing areas.
ARPA Funding
The American Rescue Plan Act funds were used to fund a new park solar lighting system. Installation of lights throughout the interior road and parking lots yield sustainable energy efficient lighting and promotes safety for park visitors.
