All Regional Parks will be closed on Wednesday, Dec, 25, for Christmas. Parks will reopen for normal park hours on Thursday, Dec. 26.
The Department of Regional Parks and the County Board of Supervisors will be celebrating the opening of the new agriculture-themed playground and splash pad at Prado Regional Park on Thursday Nov. 21 at 11:30 a.m. The public is invited to attend the ceremony with free park admission from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Those who attend are welcome to stay and recreate in the park after the ceremony and even fish (this is the first stocking day of the trout season with 747 pounds of trout. Fishing fees and license still apply).
Fourth District Board of Supervisor Curt Hagman will be onsite to talk about how both projects provide accessible play structures for youth and families, which supports the community’s strong agricultural history.
